A Celebration of Iraqi Assyriology
By Ali Khadr
For many decades Iraqi Assyriologists and archaeologists have taught and researched the ancient history of their country in universities and in the field, often in very difficult times and with few resources. In celebration of their enduring achievements in the pursuit of knowledge and the training of new generations of scholars, the British Institute for the Study of Iraq is hosting an evening of two lectures on Assyriological topics.
Professor Wayne Horowitz on ‘Iraqi Assyriology and the Jews of Modern and Ancient Iraq’
Professor Eleanor Robson on ‘Iraqi Contributions to the Study of Babylonian Mathematics’
